July 1st is the deadline to submit a workshop proposal for NWTSJ

Dear Portland Area Rethinking Schools friends,

We are accepting workshop proposals through July 1st. Please get yours in soon! Go to www.nwtsj.org and click on "Workshop Proposal Application" in the upper left. There are sample workshop proposals for you to look over.

The Northwest Teaching for Social Justice Conference aims to support educators in a range of contexts and content areas, some of which have historically tended to be better represented than others. In order to provide the most expansive selection of workshops this year, we especially invite proposals in the following fields: Early Childhood and Elementary education, Special Education, STEM fields, the arts, and subjects like health and PE. If you work in one of these areas, please consider submitting a workshop proposal, and share our request for proposals with your networks.

Remember, this year we'll be at Madison High School in Portland. October 29. (Note new date.) www.nwtsj.org

Please be a part of this wonderful annual event.
