Just over a week until the NW Teaching for Social Justice Conference

Dear Portland Area Rethinking Schools friends,

Our 7th annual NWTSJ conference is just over a week away. We have more people signed up for the conference at this point than in any previous year! Don't miss it. Please go to our website, www.nwtsj.org, to register for the conference and to see the great line-up of speakers and workshop presenters we have. You can download a draft of the program at the website.

Where: Madison High School, 2735 NE 82nd Ave., Portland
When: Saturday, October 18, 8 am to 4:30 pm
Cost: $30. $5 for students. Includes coffee, snacks, lunch.

Are you in the Portland area and could house out-of-town conference goers? Contact Laura Czarniecki, who is coordinating housing: lauraczarniecki@gmail.com.

Our food committee is busy arranging a delicious lunch for everyone. It would be helpful for them to know how many to plan for, so the sooner you can register for the conference at www.nwtsj.org, the better. The final registration date we'll be able to guarantee lunch is Thursday October 9th.

It's still not too late to register as a community group to table as part of the Resource Fair. Contact Hyung Nam: hyung_n@yahoo.com.

Questions? Write us at info@nwtsj.org.

See you on the 18th!
