Two weeks until the NW Teaching for Social Justice Conference

in

Dear Portland Area Rethinking Schools friends,

The 8th annual Northwest Teaching for Social Justice Conference is just over two weeks away. More than 60 workshops on exemplary social justice teaching and critical issues in education. Early registration numbers are stronger than in any previous year and we're looking forward to another inspiring, idea-filled gathering. The Seattle-based conference planners have asked everyone to register as soon as possible, as they need to get numbers to the people who are preparing lunch so that they can order the food. -- The conference is still just $30, and $5 for students, including those in teacher education programs. Register at www.nwtsj.org.

When: Saturday October 17th
Where: Chief Sealth International High School, Seattle (2600 SW Thistle St., Seattle)
Register: www.nwtsj.org

We now have the tentative program for the conference posted at the website.
